As of 2012, the Quinolones, which have been developed and put into mass production, mainly include Norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin, Norfloxacin, Lomefloxacin, fleroxacin and so on.
Among them, Norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacin produced the largest production, accounting for about 98% of the total production of fluoroquinolones in China. Quinolones are generally synthesized from fluorine-containing benzene ring by synthesis of quinoline-containing compounds with piperazine (or methyl piperazine). Because of China's abundant fluorite reserves, it is one of the countries with the largest production of fluorine-containing drugs and intermediates in the world, with more than 80% of the fluoride intermediates supplied for export. On the whole, the development of fluorine-benzene intermediates in our country is very early, and the production capacity is generally surplus. The development of fluorine-toluene intermediates is late and the development speed is fast; for heterocyclic aromatic compounds, especially fluorine-containing pyridine, only individual research units and manufacturers have the synthesis technology of fluorine-containing pyridine intermediates, so Fluorine-containing pyridine intermediates will become one of the main research directions of fluorine-containing intermediates in the coming years.
